  • Somerset Patriots vs Long Island Ducks

    ​Join us for a 50 minute, 1 CPE session presented by Bryan Iwicki and then enjoy a game as the Patriots take on the Long Island Ducks and fireworks after the game. Bryan Iwicki is the Vice President of Operations for the Somerset Patriots Baseball Team.  Bryan has been with the Somerset Patriots since January of 2000.  Currently Bryan is responsible for just about everything around the ballpark including hiring, HR, IT, managing the staff, sales and marketing, the operation of the clubhouse, merchandising, portions of the food service, budgeting, vender relations, and the overall management of TD Bank Ballpark.   Bryan will cover some of the following topics:   A brief history of the Atlantic League, TD Bank Ballpark, and the Somerset Patriots role as an original franchise.  The overall operation of an Independent Baseball franchise and the Atlantic League's relationship with Major League Baseball.  This will include the difference between an Independent Club and an affiliated Minor League Baseball Team. How players are procured and the process for returning players to affiliated clubs from the Atlantic League's system. The process for compensation from an affiliated club or international club for signing players How the Patriots make money through Marketing Partners, Ticket Sales, Concessions (which we self-operate), Facility Rentals, Parking, and Digital Billboards on the Property, including the brand new board facing route 287, and our commuter parking business The Patriots involvement in the Community through school programs, fundraising efforts, and their 501c3 foundation.
