Session Summary: This webinar will provide foundational information on the AICPA Code of Conduct and ethical framework, then will focus on the real-life applications of Ethics in the workplace.  We will discuss and evaluate specific situations and examples of ethical dilemmas, unethical behaviors, and the cost of these behaviors on businesses.  We will walk through a variety of case studies covering both individuals in public practice and individuals in industry positions and tie the case studies back to the AICPA’s framework.  These real-life examples will discuss successes and failures and how doing the right thing helps everyone.

    Speakers:

    Janice Snyder, CPA: Janice is Partner and Director of Assurance Services at McKonly & Asbury. With over 20 years’ experience in public accounting, she spent 11 of those years at an international accounting firm. Janice has specialized in serving healthcare entities, for-profit family-owned and foreign-owned businesses (food manufacturing, distribution, and services), and other nonprofit organizations throughout Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.

    Mike Hoffner, CPA: Mike is the Managing Partner at McKonly & Asbury. He is responsible for implementing the strategic vision of the Firm and works closely with the leadership team in executing the Firm’s strategies. Additionally, he has expertise in Assurance Services, is
    a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, and the firm’s Systems and Organization Controls (SOC) practice. Mike serves clients in several industries including manufacturing and distribution, construction and engineering, technology, and employee benefit plans. He also performs external peer reviews for accounting firms around the country.
